FAQ
Yes. The Golden Visa covers the main applicant, their spouse or partner, and dependent children under 21. Parents of the investor may also qualify under certain conditions.
No. There is no minimum stay requirement to maintain the Golden Visa. You simply need to retain ownership of the qualifying property. If you wish to apply for citizenship, a 7-year residency requirement applies.
Golden Visa properties may be rented on the long-term market. Note that Law 5100/2024 introduced restrictions on short-term rentals for Golden Visa properties. We recommend consulting a legal professional for current regulations.
Budget approximately 8–12% above the property price for transfer tax (3.09%), notary fees, legal fees, Golden Visa application fees (approximately €2,000 per applicant), and — if applicable — agent commission.
